Carl's musical roots are in San Diego where he began writing and performing professionally at the age of 12. Obsessed with the sound of the early-to-mid sixties, he has dedicated his life to studying, practicing and preserving the techniques of the golden-age of recording.
He earned his first producer credits at the age of 16 for the now legendary Crawdaddys' Here 'Tis and The Tell Tale Hearts' self-titled debut album. Since then his songs have appeared on numerous albums including historical retrospectives Children Of Nuggets, The Roots Of Power Pop and It's a Mod, Mod World. His solo album, Blue Period, is critically acclaimed as an underground classic. He has written music for motion pictures and soundtrack albums and performs onscreen with Mike Meyers in So, I Married An Axe Murderer.
Carl lives with his wife, two children, and his record collection in upstate New York.
